Select your microwave wattage in the dropdown. The cook times in this recipe will automatically change accordingly.

To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

Ingredients

  • 1 fillet (150g) river sole fish
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • A few drops of toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup (50g) cherry tomatoes, halved
  • pepper, to taste
  • chopped parsley, for garnish

Preparation

  1. Place the fish fillet in the Anyday Large Shallow Dish and coat it with garlic paste. Marinate for 15 minutes (optional)
  2. Add ginger, light soy sauce, sesame oil, cherry tomatoes and freshly ground pepper to the marinated fish. Cover with the lid (knob lifted) and cook in the microwave for 3 minutes or until the fish is flaky and tender. Thicker fillets might take longer to cook.
  3. Garnish with some ginger and chopped fresh parsley.

Serving suggestions & tips

  • Do you love salmon? The good news is that this recipe also works great with salmon. Also, while you are preparing the dish, don’t add salt as the soy sauce is already salty (however, it is a different tale if you like your food extra salty).
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed. For more recipes, visit cookanyday.in.
